Dishonoured - plenty of killing bad guys and great setting, atmosphere and story.

(Maybe give some examples of games he already has and likes. Also some that you like... no harm in getting something you'll both like ;-) )

Dead Island Riptide is out very soon if he enjoyed the first one then this is (hopefully) bound to better.

Ask him! He will be happy as you will make the perfect choice. Surprise, no, but best choice, yes

Hey,

Thanks guys for your opinions, I looked up Dishonored on the video store website and it played a trailer video of the game being played. Looked really good from my point of view. we dont own any games for Ps3 as of yet but i hired Resident Evil 6 i think it is for him to play and he absolutely loves it, me im more of a simple chick still like my Spyro, Crash Bandicoot and car racing games as well as singstar, the dancing or fitness ones for the move and things like that but i have been known to play teken (not actually sure how to spell that one lol) but thanks guys you have been such a good help to me :)

Tell him to make a wishlist on mighty ape if he doesn't already have one. That's how my girlfriend does it.

Hey Hobchild, Thanks, what a great idea i might just get him to do that so i can get him stuff i know he wants and will actually like and still have it as a surprise for him. If any one else has any ideas on what games to get for Ps3 or PC or other ways of finding out what he wants id love to hear your opinion, thanks and have a great day :)

I'd also recommend Far Cry 3. I'm finding that to be a very addictive game. If your boyfriend is into first person shooters that give you a bit more freedom than most, he'll probably enjoy it a lot.

Hi dclegg, Great minds must think alike as i was in the video store the other day looking at that game hmming and haring about getting it but since you recommended it along with everyone elses recommendations i may just have to get them all out at some stage and see which one he likes the best. Thanks for your comments. Have a nice day :)

Me and my partner play games together on the PS3 and we always enjoyed the below which fit your genre.

Resident Evil 5 - Great game if a little older now and the Gold pack with all the add ons is cheap.
Borderlands - Same as above but amazing fps game
Resident Evil 6, Not started yet but hailed as one of the best games of 2012
Borderlands 2 - Amazing game and you can get the Premium pack, which comes with all the add ons.

Others that aren't co-op capable would be Battlefield 3, great games if you want an alternatives to Call of Duty.

Far Cry 3, haven;t started it yet but hailed as a good game and I heard it has Maori speak in it.

Also for you, you can get most of the Crash Bandicoot and now Spyro games on the PlayStation Store.

Other similar games that are racing are Modnation, Sonic Racing and Little Big Planet Racing.

Hi, thanks for your messages they have helped me a lot. I was actually looking at getting the Battlefield 3 today for him from the video store i work at but went with another game instead. Resident Evil 6 is a great game if your into the sort of thing personally im not mainly because i dont know how to play lol but enjoy watching my partner play it. My partner and his friend highly recommend it to other people so im guessing that its just as good as everyone has said. As for Borderlands i think he enjoys those games too just might have to ask him what ones he has played cause im not sure if hes played all of them or not. Anyway thanks for your posts, have a nice day :)
