Hi all,

I've been having a play with the game Drifter currently in Beta. It takes me back to Elite 2 Frontier (which is a good thing!). It's basically a sandbox space trader, combat, exploration, etc.

It's actually really impressive with light system requirements (unlike say Eve or X3). Have a look at http://www.celsiusgs.com/drifter/.

They're trying to get it greenlit through Steam so could be worth a vote if you're into this sort of thing.

I'm at work right now so it's blocked for me to go look, but does it have Newtonian physics ?  I like Eve Online, but hate that they've not done proper physics.

Seems quite a bit like Eve Online.

The spaceflight is newtonian/inertial but it is in 2 dimensions instead of 3. It feels strange to start with but does work quite nicely. Combat feels instinctive with some pretty mean AI.

It's good fun with a small footprint. The more I play it, the more I really like it.
