AKA the Play disc as is written on it.

Interesting. I think I recall Mass Effect 3 had a similar warning?

First thing I did was install the play disc to a 16gb USB flash drive. Peace and quiet, saves my DVD drive laser and no pop-in.

Have played around 6 hours and have played through the same area in the Digital Foundry demonstration (the intro) and have had none of the pop-in demonstrated in their example.

Same here, installed Install disc to regular hard drive and play disc to USB and running smooth (and quiet).
