Just wondering if anyone here is using a different region other than NZ on their Xbox One? eg: US or UK and what you have to change in order to do this?a Was wondering if it screws anything up cos I see that alot of the features are not available here.. still loving the console but wouldn't mind having more of the features even if I did have to fake an accent haha

Are you still able to download things from the store and all? had any issues with things like that?

I haven't had a chance to try those things.
I don't see it's a problem.

I use UK, posted elsewhere in this forum with my issue. Basically, Xbox location needs to be one of the supported locations for Kinect voice to work. NZ isn't supported.

As far as I have been able to work out, changing the system location will disable Music and Video functions (it has for me) as my Xbox live account is NZ. I decided not to migrate my XB Live account because I thought it would cause too many issues.

I think the fix MS need to make (my opinion) is to not tie the xbox ones system.location to the Xbox live account location. Also, spoken language should not be based on location at all, I speak UK English but live in NZ (never been able to do a kiwi accent).

For example, I have my Win 8.1 language set to EN-NZ, but I have windows speech recognition set to use English UK.

I don't have a One, but I've been able to download from the Japanese store on my 360 so I don't imagine that you'll have any issues.

I do find it ironic that a product called "One" still has this concept of different regions though!

Indeed. It's incredible how many websites will give you prices in yen if you have your OS/browser language set to Japanese, despite having an NZ IP address.
