Anyone play this?

I am on the Australian servers and have played since closed beta, it is a great game made by Grinding Gear Games, which is a NewZealand gaming company...

If you do play do you ever get packetloss? Ever since closed beta this has been an issue and unfortunately still is a good year or two down the track

I'm going to noob myself past judgement

I've been playing it since the Steam release.

If with packetloss you mean the desync issue, then yes everyone has that. To prevent cheating, movement and hit detection is done on the server. The downside is that what you see in the client may become out of sync with the server due to packet loss or a spike in the lag. When the client resynchronizes you can find yourself or monsters suddenly being teleported.

You can manually force a resync with the /oos command when you start noticing a desync. Typical signs are monsters not taking damage, or not seeming to be interested in attacking you.

I also think all New Zealand players should be given a kiwi pet.

yeah I play a bit as well. Desync is pretty common I find. Can get quite frustrating when you think you are in one place and then suddenly your somewhere else...dead.

Working on a spectral throw, lesser projectiles, cast on crit, ice spear build at the moment. So much fun seeing the whole screen blowing up at the same time :)

I am really enjoying this game, best game I have ever played (which is not many). I am up to end of Act 3 and I am keen to start another character. Expansion has just been released with the aim of having one every 4 months which makes me wonder if I will play anything else at all this year. I think it is better than Diablo and Torchlight 2 although both of those are amazing in their own rights (except D3 for me). Plus PoE is free to play, I so need to give them some money and will use the micro transactions at some stage.

I also get the out of sync happening but find it is not too often and have not died from it. Not sure what server I am on. I have only had one night when it was doing it for most of the night and it was painful otherwise it has been ok.

I have a Ranger (bow of course) fireball arrow as main (with additional cold gem), rain of fireball arrows as secondary and totem pole for diversion as backup. Keeping it really simple just to enjoy the game and will add more to next character. Have got 2 co-workers onto it so hope to do some runs with them soon.
