I have recently bought a speaker with bluetooth.
I wanted to hear my PS3 through the speaker so I decided to try connecting to it.
I turn the PS3 on, go to "Settings", "Accessory Settings", "Manage Bluetooth Devices" and then I select the "register new devices" for my speaker and then I saw my speaker on the screen which I selected and pair it (I saw the blue dot). I tried to play a video on my tv but the sound comes out of the tv so went back to "Manage Bluetoooth Devices" and I saw the dot went back to a grey dot, I turned it back on but it keeps switching back to a grey dot.
Someone told me to go to "Audio Device Setting" and change it to the speakers, I tried but nothing happened.

So my question, How do I keep the blue dot from switching to a grey dot.

I don't really quite get what you are saying? Can you explain a bit more? So it doesn't work on the PS3 even though it's bluetooth?

Bluetooth is only a delivery protocol/method - if someone (Sony in this case) dont write the code to push sound through Bluetooth, thats their choice.
Its like owning a delivery truck - nothing to say youre going to deliver everything out there :)

The PS3 uses Bluetooth primarily for the controllers and other similar devices.

It will work as a headset IME, not all audio comes out of it.

Also you may need to press play on the speaker to get it to re-establish the connection to the PS3.

Whenever I had a bluetooth audio device the already flakey wireless controller got even worse, could have been the budget speaker I had not being a very good bluetooth device, but it made it unplayable.

What do you mean that it will work as a headset, and that not all audio comes out of it.

For chat, it seems only the headset profile will connect and work fully. May have just been my $15 speaker tho.
