Can anybody who has this game in Steam please attempt to play it.

I tried a while ago when I was going through my Steam library and looking at all the games I haven't played yet (there's a lot). I thought I'd give Gatling Gears a crack but I get the error message "Failed to start game (missing executable)". My friend also gets the same message, so I wonder if nobody can play this game anymore.

I've tried all the necessary steps to fix this to no avail. I also notice that you can't seem to buy this game anymore neither on Steam or Origin so I wonder if that has something to do with it. There is a small thread on the Steam forums with a few people with the same problem but no solution.

Have you checked torrent sites to see if someone had posted their backup?

I have all the correct files and I can even delete and redownload it from Steam. I just can't play it. If I try to run it straight from the .exe then I get EA asking for the key which I can't get off Steam. When I do ask for it I get a never ending "requesting key" message.

generally steam can tell you the CD Key..

(click on image, geekzone is being a pain and trimming it.)

random game i picked up on my list with a key.

Yes the option is there, you'll notice right before you get the key you get a "requesting key" message before the key appears. Gatling Gears key never appears.

ah well then, that makes things hard...

are you sure your antivirus is not deleting the exe upon running it or something?

have you checked out the Gatling gears section on the steam forums?

Last line, first post. Yes there are other people with the exact same problem. No my anti-virus is not deleting anything. I wanted to see if anybody else who owned the game could still play it.
