I've recently been looking for a brand new PS4 in-store trying to find a good deal. I've considered buying the $599 just for the PS4 alone but I've decided to go for the PS4 with 3 games for $649. My q's is that is this a good deal as in should I wait for a better deal in the future? If so how much would I save if I was to wait lets say a month? Have you guys seen any PS4 for like $550 for the unit no bundles or cheap prices for bundles?

Cheers

PS4 prices don't really move much. What you see now is probably what it will be like in a month, maybe with a different combo of games in the bundles.

Sony make money on the games - so just go bare bones minimum and get games second hand few months later

Bare bones minimum? Yeah, I always get second hand games after a few months of their release date as they decrease on price quite a lot. I'm just wondering though if there has been any cheaper PS4 or PS4 bundles than the one I have said above - My primary thought is JB HIFI as they come with 2 year standard warranty with PS4 and 3 games (choosable from what I interpreted) for $649.

I'm really only keen to buy brand new consoles so second hand console is not an option.

Traditionally boxing day sales are for consoles. Not sure if this is the case. Your best bet for a bargain is to buy it tax free on your next trip to OZ

$50 for 3 games? Expecting to get them second hand cheaper than that. Buy the bundle, it's a good deal.

Mightyape had console, the order 1866, and a stand for $584. Only get one of those bundles if you like the games, or you could also just sell them if you don't want them.

Yeah, I want to part of me is doubting that in a month it might be advertised for like $550 like the previous boxing day sale with 3 games.

Not sure how to double quote but,

@Jarred

I've also considered Mightyape but if I come across an issue it would be a hassle to ship it and return etc.. instead of just going to a nearby store. It's about a $10 difference from JB's exact same deal excluding the stand though.

There's no near upcoming public holiday as well

As mentioned above, the prices are barely going to change at all in the near future. The only thing that will change is the combo of the games.

As mentioned above, the MightyApe combo. IF you didn't want The Order you could sell it and then you have a console + stand for less than $550
