Probably the dumb question of the month, but does anyone know if the Wii has regional encoding?  i.e. will games purchased overseas work on my Wii bought in NZ?

Secondary question for bonus points... anyone happen to know if a Wii bought here will work on a TV in the UK?

Wii has no regional coding like DVD, but it has PAL, NTSC-J and NTSC-A games for different parts of the world. NZ, Australia and Europe are using PAL. So it's pretty safe to say it will work in UK games with NZ Wii.
