Question..

Im wanting to run my PS3 with a 22inc LDC PC Screen.. with HDMI to DVI cable..

So.. that leaves me with Optical out put from the PS3 for 5.1 sound..

Now it gets tricky..

Is there such a thing as PC 5.1 Speakers with Optical input?

Or will i have to buy a Nice soundcard with Optical in.

Or will i have end up buy a Amplifier that takes HDMI - $1500 :(

Well picked up my Samsung 226BW 22" Widescreen LCD today..

And my Logitech Z-5500 5.1 speakers should be in on Thursday..

Will try and post some Pics when its all setup..

Should be a really sweet system for watching/playing 720p movies/games.

Later on i might get 24"-30" LCD so i can run the full 1080p but will wait for prices to drop first.
And wait for the larger LCD panels to get faster.

I played the Darkness game.. from start to finish... about 15hours i was playing for..
Abit sick i know.. but the sound was amazing.. coming from standard speakers..
