I am thinking about getting an xbox in the new year and am going o purchase a hi def TV to go with it.

so, does the premium have an HDMI port on it so i can connect it to the HDMI port on the TV?
Obviously, i would have to buy a HDMI to HDMI cable.
i have tried researching this on the internet, but i find mixed answers?

You probably got mixed answers because some do some don't (older ones don't). Check the box to see if it has HDMI written on the back. Also check to see if it says 175W (small information panel; barcode etc) that means it is a "falcon" which is more reliable.
