Hi all,
What are your thoughts on this new offering from Humble Bundle?
https://www.humblebundle.com/monthly

It's a $12/month subscription and you don't know what games you are going to get.

I already have a large Steam collection so it's hard to tell if there will be any good games I don't have.  But I'm going to join for at least the first month as I think it's a risky venture for them and they'll want to launch with  some impressive games the first time to get attention.

I was thinking the same though haven't subscribed yet. I don't have Legend of Grimrock 2 yet either which would be nice to get when signing up.
Plus it seems easy enough to cancel.

I subscribed just to see what it is like. It's only $12, and as usual some of it goes to a charitable cause.

I feel the same. I also have a PS+ subscription and at first it was great but now I'm finding I don't have time to play all the games in my library, and my steam library is at over 200 games as well. But, gotta keep collecting.... (is game hoarding a recognised condition yet?)

I've subscribed as I suspect like Lootcrate it will start awesome as it needs to convince people its worth while, so ill sub for a few months until its starts to peter.

my first summer sale, I budgeted $500 for games, ended up spending close to $1000 :)  the summer sale after that I only spent about $150ish, since I had everything worth having at that point :)

was finishing about 2 games a week at one point (games with 10-20 hours play time).  just finished mad max, but took my time with that, about 3 weeks, 50ish hours.

HAHA holy crap, I only really got into the steam sale scene last year, went in with a budget of $30 and spent about $50.  But I made sure I bought games I intended to play, as opposed to the bulk of my library which is stuff from humble bundles that I "might" play.

Surely spending close to $1K in a steam sale you bought every game on steam :P

I bought lots of big games during that sale.   I bought 2 copies of a bunch too, one copy for my son (family sharing is pretty crap, if you are both playing steam, which we often are, the sharing doesn't work).

I have a bunch of small games I've never gotten around to playing, but the AAA ones I tend to play, my favourite steam game would be Rogue Legacy though, picked it up for $3 in the steam summer sale, played 150ish hours of it.

You've all convinced me, subscribed (as I suspected I have no self control).

I've been a member of Steam since 2004 and have 208 games, so it's less than 19 games a year when I think of it that way :)

I've only really been using steam for the last 1.5years :) So had a huge back catalogue of games to buy up and play through.

That's they way to look at it, 19 games a year is some good self control.

But yea good one, if we are all out $12 because its crap then its not too bad, if it turns out to be amazing we will all be laughing.

I apparently have only 527 games in 11 years. That's disappointing. I need to get some more. I probably have a ton of unclaimed humble bundle games... this monthly thing will help bump the number up.
