I did a search around, and notice people did this for ps3? Where you have a U.S account and not only purchase games digitally cheaper but they also have more contect? Does this still work for ps4? Is it a harder process? I have access to paypal which I see you can pay with? Any ideas could help?

Its just as easy.  On the main screen before you login, create new profile, change region, and follow the steps.

I have a youshop address so used that info to set it up, though paying I'm not sure about.  I only use it for reviewing Indie games as quite often those are the only codes the devs have.

But yea you can D\L the game and as long as you designate that the PS4 is your primary console for that account then you can play the game under your NZ profile should you choose to.  But I think it gets fudged with DLC.
