Anyone managed to get their hands on one of these yet? Is it noticeably faster than the standard drive?

I don't have an xbox at the moment but I am keen to get one - but have no desire to get that Elite bundle with the Elite controller so hoping that either a new bundle or a normal controller option is offered at a cheaper price soon...

dont think the hybrid-ssd will really make a big difference.

if you're looking for speed, consider the fully SSD portable drives like this, but perhaps check back on black Friday for cheaper deal :-)

so apparently we (Microsoft) reckon 20% faster load times with the hybrid-ssd. For the price, and when compared to extending a regular console with the 1TB external SSD above, that's probably actually not bad $/perf.

the regular consoles do run really well with external non-SSD usb3 drives though.
