Hey guys
i have a problem! wat a mission it is to find the XXX overclocked edition of the 8800GTS 512 mb card by XFX. I see they are all over ameican websites, but i cant one anywhere in new zealand! they are pretty much impossible to get ahold of (unless i was to import, but i really cant be bothered with that, and the cost!) so, can anyone direct me to somewhere  that i might be able to get my hands on one of thses cards. otherwise it will be the 8800GT for the win.
There are plenty of 8800GTS 512mb cards availible in NZ, but just not the XXX edition by XFX. Please help!
they really are a fantastic video card.

Already tried that. lol
You see all that brings up is the 640mb and 320mb xxx models. Both of which use older nvidea chipsets based on the old architecture. The new models that nvidea have released, such as the 512mb version of the GTS use the new g92 chip, the same one that the GT uses.
The current 8800gt actually beats the 640 and 320mb models of the GTS simply because they use the old chips.
I could just settle for the new 512mb 8800gts, but the XXX edition is deffenitly worth the extra few $$. But as i said in my last post, i cant find it anywhere in NZ.

Oh well, sorry about that.  Might pay to ring some of those stores.  Don't they import their stock?  Maybe they can get one even if it's not listed.

Hi there

You say that buying from overseas a hassle, but seriously its where you get the best choice and deals! I recently got a new GFX card (x1950 agp) from overclockers UK ( a very reputable company). It took only 2 1/2 weeks to arrive...and you could track the package. All you need is a credit card.

The $NZ is pretty good to the pound at the moment so you would still probably do better than buying locally, even with postage.

Your card (or something v similar)looks like its there aswell
