I've been looking at getting a new graphis card and was wondering about non-branded OEM graphics cards and whether they are as good as branded ones. I've been looking at the GeForce 8800GT 512mb and there are several OEM cards that are quite cheap. are there disadvantages to these OEM ones that aren't made by a specific manufacturer? I've been looking at XFX, Asustek and Gigabyte but they are all more expensive than these OEM ones. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The reference cooling for the 8800GT is crap. I'd go for a brand name card (most have custom cooling), especially if you are going to overclock it and will use it for a while
