A new challenge - Grounded

On Grounded you will face a new challenge, no flying.  Now the land is hard, the dinos a real threat (with some spawning at up to level 480 in some areas).  Grounded uses the Shigo Islands Map

Supply drops have been changed, they include many useful items, and many items that are not craftable by the player's, weapons, armour and some tools as well as items from the scorched earth DLC (you do not need the DLC for these to work).  They are also restricted to specific levels so that high level players can't open crates designed for the lower level players.

  • White - Levels 3 to 29
  • Green - Levels 15 to 49
  • Blue - Levels 30 to 74
  • Purple - Levels 50 to 99
  • Yellow - Level 75+
  • Red - Level 100+

We have the ORP2 mod for off line raid protection. The easiest way to get started is to pre-install all the mods via steam (simple one click instructions are on the web site or from the steam collection) and then connect.  Loading all the Mods can take a few minutes, unfortunately the Ark client does not give any visual feedback that this is working and some people might think it has crashed.  It hasn't.  Be patient and expect it to take several minutes to load up.  Make a coffee while you wait laughing

More details are on the web site: http://grounded.trivial.nz/

A list of some of the mods we use, the full list is on the steam collection.

  • Advanced Architecture
  • Ark Advance
  • Corpse Finder
  • Industrial Grinder Mod
  • Jurassic Park Electric Fences
  • Meat Spoiler
  • Metal and Glass Set
  • MR Rad Inc
  • ORP2 mod (you must build the ORP Pillar)
  • Pet Finder
  • Pimp My Dinos
  • Resource Stacker Mod
  • Steam Punk
  • Structure+
  • Temp Building
  • Utility Saddles

We have bumped up the max level of wild dinos to level 600 now. Some of the high level predators are un-tameable too so watch out.
