I used to have this one as a kid: https://sites.google.com/site/retrowemuseum/uvi-compu-game-orbit-grandstand-video-master
Same company I think.
MadEngineer:
Orbit Electronics :D
You the man! I would never have guessed that. Thanks!
Do remember what games were on the Gimini? I think we had a pong type game, but can't remember any others.
Wish I could find information on it such as who produced it etc. Maybe it was done by someone like Tait? I remember reading the construction manual it came with when I was like 8 years old.
Pro/Am was a switch for Professional/Amateur which basically set the speed like a turbo button iirc. The large/small switch toggled the paddle size in Pong. The Yellow and Blue buttons were for shooting and the selector switch flicked through different game modes or games in the one cartridge.
Pong, Racing, a battleships/submarine game (played a bit like space invaders), breakout (like arkanoid) are all I remember
I remember having a g7000 and always being annoyed that the video game box artwork was so colorful but every game was actually just squares and lines on a screen. I grow up a further 30 years and I read about the rage people had over the 'bullshots' that no mans sky produced ...then I think to myself ....'at least the game looks vaguely like that'
I think the gimini used this
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AY-3-8500
also in use in this, so i would imagine the games would be similar

Ahh the old 2600.
Ive still got the one my dad bought when coming back from the death of my grandmother in the uk in ?1983.
Lost a granny, got an atari 2600 seemed a reasonable swap for a 10 year old.
Its sitting on top of the bookshelf next to my Acorn Electron (all in their original boxes)
Can you still plug them into modern tv?
A.
bongojona: Which decade are we talking about here? I'm in my 40s and never seen / heard about this
