I used a spare Raspberry Pi 3 for a RetroPie game emulator plus an old Sony PS3 game controller.

In theory, it sounds great. Thousand of old games for about a $100.

In practice, the games I've tried run, but barely.

Has anyone come across games that run fantastic on RetroPie?

I used this very good YouTube guide to setup RetroPie.

I got games from, well, let's just say it's somewhere the recording and movie industry don't like, by searching for "ROMS"

I was going to try RetroArch on the PC, as it's getting good reviews.

I have set one up along with an old TV in an arcade shell, but still feels too laggy compared to a real NES and SNES so its on the backburner at the moment.
