Hi all,

i wanted to buy minecraft for pc/ps4, but have one question about it.

I just want to play alone and create my own stuff rather than playing story line / fighting boss.

Is this possible  ?

Yes.

Single player is completely up to you how to play it, I just do my own thing and like creating houses etc, not bothered getting to the "end" of the game :)

i just got my new laptop and it had the game pre-installed. so i started a trial version of it. but i could not get anything in the game. i did not have any place to create stuff, no weapons/inventory.

Is that suppose to be like that ?

My kids play it, I'm not expert myself but I know that they can choose from either Survival or Creative mode.

Do you have those options available? In Creative mode I believe you can just build worlds without worrying about anything

Well in trial mode i guess i did not see any option like creative mode. but might have to double check it in the evening..

If that is the case then i can buy it.

Did you play through and pay attention to the tutorial?   I also haven't really played it, but my kids love it, and even in survival mode I think it's a case of crafting what you need and gradually building up to better items?

You start with nothing, go hit a tree a few times, pick up the wood. Go into inventory, and craft it. Pretty much its a matter of learning the diff things needed to create other things.

Its quite neat, and if you can get some mates to join, its even more fun.

I dont play it as much now, or even my daughter who was hooked on it, since we started playing Unturned. (Lot of ppl go "Minecraft ripoff" buts its so much better IMO)

Heh, gets like that tho..... been playing CS for years, then OW came out.......  my CS clan were like "WTF is he ?"....... then I started an Unturned server with some mates..... OW only gets fired up occasionally now... 60+ hrs in Unturned :-/

Get a good game, and everything else takes a back seat :D

If you enjoy it, but crave a bit more, check out Unturned (free on Steam) - very basic gfx but great playability and a more intricate crafting engine.

Frankly i do not want my this new laptop to turn like the old one, i have eurotruck simulator 2, cs , gta 4 on my old one, thus want only light games on this one.

As i have playstation 4 for other games.

But still thanks for that.
