Interesting.. You may find that Battlefield isn't really your cup of tea, because Hardline was a total flop and widely panned, and differs quite a lot from the "normal" Battlefield games.

Well i would say that its the matter of perspective that i find it better. I am not saying that battlefield 1 is bad, it is good, but alot of connection issues. very few "oceanic" servers.

i am almost rank 100 on BF1 and i am good with the game too.

I fondly remember playing allot of Battlefield 2.

Tried installing it a couple of months ago, didn't like the new hardware/windows and also no servers running to play on.

In my mind still the best version.

I enjoyed bf hardline, however, EA charged full price for a reskinned game. It should have been a dlc.

BF1 is fun, still to arcadey for me with to little immersion.

I'm going to noob myself past judgement

1942 is still the best battlefield ever (especially with the Desert Combat Mod).
BF2 was fantastic in its day as well (the developers hired the Desert Combat Modders to do a lot of work on it).

We had a LAN the other day with 1942 and BF2 as a large part of it, there is definitely a little bit of fiddling required to make them work correctly on modern gear/OSs but it can be done.

I dabbled in a bit of Project Reality on BF2 also.

The one shot kills and accurate ballistic properties made it much more difficult. In my mind more fun because it got rid of the "frantic charge around and spray bullets" players.

Latest updates on battlefield is killing the fun.... at least for me...

trading kills, choosing the next map to play is the worst.

next random map would be good idea rather than choosing them.

I loved BF2 and Bad Company 2! Back in the day it was epic!
I played a lot of BF4/3 on PC, Never tried hardline or any of them since but BF4 was a great game with a lot of bugs but they seemed to make it more fun!

Not sure if my PC will run BF1 now but i bet its another remake of BF4 which is another BF3. Re release the same game with different textures!

I still load up BF2 from time to time on my PC, just single player or AIX a bit, going against the AI doesn't hold my attention for long, but I still like to fly round in the chopper, soloing and TVing targets. Seems BF2s is gone, so cant see, but I had hundreds of hours in the chopper online. Clan league games were the best

FWIW, some of you may enjoy PUBG (PlayerUnknown's BattleGrounds).. It's by far the best fun I've had online since BFBC2
