Train Sim World is available for pre-purchase on steam. 10% off at the moment and a further 10% if you have a previous version of the game in your steam library.

This is a next level simulator where you can actually get out of the train and walk around. From the beta's I have seen it looks pretty good. My only concern is what will DLC pricing be like based on Dovetails previous games.

Recently started Transport Fever - it is a modern take on TTD which I loved back in the day. Interface is a bit clunky but haven't put a lot of time into it yet.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Transport fever is over $40 on steam which seems expensive although I haven;t seen a lot of the game, is it any good? I did use to play a lot of Transport Tycoon.

I would recommend Derail Valley if you're into train sims, you can actually walk around the train and actually pull the levers with your hands and everything else, the sense of presence and scale is incredible. It's early access for now but pretty fun. Very much the next level of simulation.

Yes I have seen derail valley and it looks amazing the only problem for me is the game REQUIRES a VR headset.

There's always OpenTTD if Transport Tycoon nostalgia is needed :-)
