looking to get a 2nd hand ps3 from trademe

 

how can you tell what dvd zone it is for ?

 

eg CECH-2002A

 

some sites say the model is CECH-20 and the region is 02 for europe 

 

but another site says the 02 is for AU/NZ region

 

whats the right one ?

nz games are the same as europe. I have no idea how to tell on the DVD regions, but that only affects dvd video playback, not games

If you are in Wellington I have 500Gb super slim PS3 in good condition for $120.  Was purchased in NZ (Warehouse), less than 60hrs use, and has 3 controllers.
I'm not too keen on courier as packaging can be a bit tricky.

At a guess, the 02 probably refers to Blu-ray region B, which corresponds to both Europe and NZ. But I've never owned a PS3 so can't say for sure :)
