XCom2 War of the Chosen is out. I pre-ordered and it downloaded right as I was heading to bed. I considered staying up to play it and calling in "sick" but resisted the urge. I have dinner out with my family tonight but can hardly wait to see what it's like.

It does look massively increased in complexity, which doesn't thrill me, but hopefully it's still doable and fun.

Yep, it's a great transmission product.  Been using it for years, in anything from Mainframe, Windows, Unix and linux.

Fan of the franchise since the original XCOM/UFO in the 90's, but given that I purchased XCOM 2 around 8 months ago and still haven't gotten around to playing it I think I'll hold off for a steam sale :-)

I haven't enjoyed an XCOM game more than XCOM 2, it's fantastic, and I recommend it highly.

I tried Long War2 addon, but it just added stupid levels of complexity. I play for fun, I don't want to spend 100 hours trying to finish a game to determine a "mistake" I made in the first 5 hours means I can't complete it.

I found some of the earlier XCOM games were a little like that.

I've played all the games since the first one - many a sleepless night due to that one and Enemy from the Deep

I thought the last one 2-3 years ago was particularly good, will look forward to the latest but my PC might not be up to it

I really should get onto it.. All those of years of blowing huge sums on steam sales, without winning lotto and being able to quit work and game all day have left me with a huge number of unplayed games in my library lol

I got it as soon as it came out, feel the price is a little bit steep for what is essentially an addon pack.

It is great though, ive gone through a number of missions already and am enjoying it as much as the previous 2 releases.

Yeah love it!

I actually just bought it for the PS4 in the sale as I am finding my comfortable gaming space is more frequently the couch rather than my study these days, so I am in one of my "moving away from PC gaming" phases!

Works surprisingly well on the Pro and I will be buying the expansion as soon as it comes out for sure.
