Hi,

My friend and I have been playing PS4 for almost 3 years. Recently, we have started having an issue with party chat and getting kicked out of the game. It works for maybe 15 min, then kicks me out, but not him. I've done everything PlayStation and my internet company can think of. I noticed someone named taneb1 helped others fix this issue about half a year ago. I was wondering if anyone knew taneb1 or how to fix it. Thank you for any help!

@jhenders613 Are you or your friend currently with Trustpower for your internet?

Hi,

Neither of us have Trustpower. However, I was trying to see what you may have done or had someone to do to help us out. Both of our internet companies don't seem to know the solution, and you're the only person that has solved a problem similar to mine. Could you please tell me what you may have done, so I can work with our internet companies to solve the issue? I've even contacted PlayStation and 2K Support. Thanks!

Hi there,

Unfortunately the users I had helped with in the past were with Trustpower who experienced issues due to NAT Problems. Most often caused by their Internet Provider (In this case Trustpower) having Carrier Grade NAT (CGN) enabled on their connection.

I would recommend you check with your internet providers to ensure that you do not have this enabled on your connection and for 2K enabled port fowarding for the required ports on your router as suggested here - https://support.2k.com/hc/en-us/articles/227690867-NBA-2K17-Connection-Troubleshooting

Thanks, Tane
