Get ready for TCOSY's biggest event in 6 years!

This is TCOSY's SWEET 21ST ANNIVERSARY!

In 2019, we're gonna have a massive 3 day lan going from Friday 18th October all the way through till midday on Sunday 20 October. At Massy Uni Palmerston North.

What will we possibly be doing during such a long LAN you ask? Well, there's gonna be all sorts of competitions for all of your favourite multiplayer games including:
- Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance
- Call of Duty 4
- Counter Strike: Global Offensive
- League of Legends
- Rocket League

we are currently taking votes for game competitions on the Facebook event page https://www.facebook.com/events/2254956854716597/

But what if you don't want to play in a competition?
Don't worry! We've got you covered, as we will have non-competitive servers for most of the competition games and more!

And if playing on computers tires you out, we will have a social area dedicated to just chilling out and having a good time. Included in this area will an appearance from our favourite retro gaming setup, the RetroPie, as well as being able to play your favourite party games like the infamous Jackbox Party Pack.

We have some great prizes for this event, ranging from good ol' blocks of chocolate, all the way up to some sweet gaming peripherals provided by both us, and our sponsors (yes, SPONSORS!).

To gain entry for this great event, a pass will get you access for all 3 days for only $40, a lot cheaper than many of
the other bigger LANs out there.

So, keep that weekend open, book in your annual leave, and come on down and celebrate 21 Years of Gaming with TCOSY!

Preregistions close after Lan 5 (17th of August) so don't delay and go to https://lan.tcosy.org.nz/21st to Reserve your seat now before they run out!

If you have any questions, feel free to message the TCOSY Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/tcosynz

and feel free to join the Tcosy group https://www.facebook.com/groups/tcosy/

I really wish there was more of these sorts of social events around NZ.

How often do you guys meet up?

Yeah, decent social gaming sessions are a minority these days, or at least not publicized much.

My mates and I get together every few months for a days gaming (we're all getting too old for anything longer ;) ), and a couple hit Ping Zero occasionally but thats about it.

Man, I remember the days of TCosy back in the late 90's early 2000's playing Red Alert, Star Craft etc. Good times with like minded gamer geeks 😁. Not much into multi-player games these days, but would love to come down and check it out and bring my son, who is just enjoying thrashing me on the PS4 at the moment hahahaha.

We have 7 Lans each year. 3 in semester, 3 in semester 2 and 1 summer lan.

The Sweet 21st lan is to celebrate Tcosy's 21st birthday.
