What do you make of Google Stadia? Googles cloud gaming streaming box solution. Everything seems to be moving to the cloud. Physical media is on the decline. It has been for a while. The amount of people getting fibre while it has increased. Still isn't at mainstream broadband numbers and wont be for quite a while yet as the fibre role out progresses. How do you feel about the shift to all digital particularly in games. Is Stadia the next step to the all digital future? Or is it just chasing a trend?

Here's a recap of the Stadia announcement a few months back.

I have heard zero hype around it since the announcement (and even then the response from gamers seemed lukewarm)

The hype was huge until the pricing model was announced.

Dont see how it can compete with local rendering in the device you're gaming on.

Even steam cant get me acceptable latency across a house on ethernet so they must have some magic sauce to get it down to acceptable levels or else its just really bad and the 30Hz is good enough console crowd are lapping it up because they have never gamed on something with nice high framerate and decent input perpherals.
