Im new to FPS in recent years so go easy, I dont know whats new or hot.

Im a WW2 historian and addict, so thats why this appeals. But is it simply too difficult to play multi player given people can use KB and mouse?

Would I be better off with COD, the latest is black Ops correct?

Not asking which is best as I can see everywhere that is a point of contention. It seems BF graphics are superior and its more realistic but COD is a little more arcade like but thats the appeal, you can rack up kills and drop bombs etc.

I do like the idea of getting in a Messerschmitt and evading the allies :-).

If I go BF V, is the EA Pass a good way to go, you still get all the patches as if you bought the game outright?

How much is COD and I presume there is no subscription based way to get it?

I had game pass for ages as the Mrs like Ori and I like some of the games.

Not helpful but I saw this today and it cracked me up

On topic though - I think the matchmaking algorithms pair you with people using controllers if you're using a controller yourself

Thank you, I shall google that to check it out. COD MW is still $99. So BF V it is I think.

Yep loved it. Clearly Im refering to 5.

Im just not sure if $99 is worth 4-5 months of gaming normal COD MW, or if EA Access with all the BFs will still give me a fun pick up, run and gun, put away experience? Plus it has my 2 sports games (fifa and madden) and a host of other great games and platformers. I do love racking up the kills for a bomb strike or similar though in COD, that is so addictive haha.

.

Cod MW is fun, probably the best guns/gunplay in the series for a good while. The matchmaking and netcode do leave something to be desired though.

You can play cod Warzone which is the battle royale mode, free to play if you want to test out how it plays.

Edit as it’s for xbox not pc. Battlefield on sale is still pretty good, and probably better bet for historical feels. BF1 is also still going strong

Just be mindful that DICE officially revealed that the last update for the game would arrive in June with some new content, but that after that, Battlefield 5 is over and this is the end of support for the game.

It is still fun to play. I've recently gone back to BF4 which still seems to have a good player base too, as does BF1.
