Hey.

My best mate and I have played Borderlands 2 and 3 and just finished 3 in story mode co-op which we have really enjoyed (2 more than 3).

We are now looking for something else to play co-op. I don't really like regular shootem up FPS games, but would consider most genres. Must be great fun to play.

Needs to be available on Xbox One.

Cheers

A Way Out is a really good co-op game if it's just the two of you.  More puzzle solving and team work gameplay

I've actually been playing a split screen local co-op game with my wife called It Takes Two, I think by the same devs as A Way Out.  It's narratively weak but the gameplay is fun and interesting, and pretty varied too.  My wife isn't great with controllers and being able to navigate both sticks while also doing buttons, but we must be about 3/4 of the way through the game now and it's been fun playing something with her again since Lego Harry Potter 10 years ago.

Checked out Back4Blood? It is an FPS, but not in the battlefield/call of duty mould

7 Days to Die, Dying Light, Deep Rock Galactic, Diablo 3, Halo series, Orcs Must Die, Moving Out, Resident Evil 5, Risk of Rain 2, Sniper Elite, Spelunky, The Binding of Isaac, Titan Quest, and Warhammer Vermintide.

All brilliant co-op games, and I believe all on Xbox.
