Who has pre-ordered and has been looking forward to the release date tomorrow for ages!!!

I've pre-ordered from mighty ape, I see the game has been issued a tracking number but not picked up by the courier. Hoping it's just a tracking update problem as I don't see it arriving tomorrow which would suck. I ordered from mighty ape because they would guarantee it would arrive on the release date. Will see what happens tomorrow.

I figure there’s no point getting gt7 on a PS4 so would probably wait until I have a 5, if ever

I’ve pre ordered the digital game. Download is complete, I have on my home screen with count down to midday tomorrow. Got my steering wheel and pedals out of the attic this evening and all set up in my sim seat ready to go.

Gotta pop into an EB Games and put your name down for a preorder. I've managed to get 2 consoles (one for myself, the other for the brother in law) by doing that and would have had a third if I wanted also (really hoping that console didn't go to a scalper!).

Also will be picking up GT7 tomorrow!

Looking forward to it. Hopefully it makes it down to Dunedin from Mighty Ape tomorrow.

I've been playing since GT1, looking forward to the return of a good single player mode.

So the standard PS5 Ed is $139 online, but $105 in stores.. why such a big disparity..

Standard difference for digital vs physical for a release title. Physical media has competition so it drives better pricing, digital does not.

Just checked mine again, actually counting down to 1pm. That makes sense as my PSN account is based in Ireland and that would be midnight over there.

Im in exactly the same boat. Has a tracking number assigned but no details yet. Am hoping it arrives this morning at work on our usual courier. Apart from a bit of BBQing on sunday and some rugby inbetween I have the weekend set aside to play.

Mightyape emailed me the code for 100k and the 3 cars this morning. Excited is an understatement, I have had every GT game made. First reviews look great and happy to see how well the PS5 plays it

Not necessarily. Buying digital games for consoles is always a false economy. You pay more up front and can't on sell them. But some people, like me, still choose digital for the convenience. I honestly can't be arsed swapping discs over every time I want to play something and I have no intention of selling any games that I own. I'm an infrequent gamer who doesn't buy a lot of games so the price difference doesn't concern me and by the time I've finished a game it has no value in the 2nd hand market.

I have a disc edition Ps5 as that was all I could get my hands but if the digital edition was available at the time I would have bought it.

I had this discussion with a friend last night, its swings and roundabouts IMHO. With new releases & pre-orders its often cheaper for physical, but digital copies drop very quickly and go on sale a lot. Take FIFA 22 as an example.. all retailers are $99-$119 for disc and the FIFA 22 ultimate edition is on sale on PS store for $67.47
