As per the title, Im looking at buying a PS5 with 2 controllers from Mighty Ape for $931.

Is this a good deal or should I get it from somewhere else?

Upgrading from PS4 so I imagine all the games I currently play will just transfer across and then also I can play the new God of War and Horizon Bundle.

I would buy from a local store in case you need warranty claim!

You can return it and get them to sort it

Depends on how much money you want to save.

Alternatively, get the 1 controller version for $834

Sony PlayStation 5 Console | PS5 | On Sale Now | at Mighty Ape NZ

Then sign up to The Market using a referral code (I can give you one or you can use the referral system on Cheapies)

Claim the 1-month free MarketClub trial (and cancel), then buy a the PS5 controller from The Warehouse for $79 delivered.

$931 is the disc console with one controller bundled with another controller - usually $124 but now just $97

Amex was a running a deal couple of weeks ago which might still be valid that gave you $100 cash back if you spent $800 on the Stome online store. Sony will also price match any competitions price. Only will work if you have an Amex.

I recently brought one after upgrading from a PS4 a month ago. The Graphics are a little better although I find the light looks way more realistic on PS5 games (Ray Tracing I Guess) and I have a 120Hz capable tv so Racing games etc look really smooth. Loading of games is also way faster due to the SSD the PS5 has.

You can play all the PS4 games you have on the PS5 just like normal, just be aware that the storage isn't very big on PS5 (this is my biggest disappointment of the PS5)I would recommend an external drive (or a bigger SSD if you can afford it) to plug into the PS5 then you can save and play all your PS4 games from that and leave the inbuild SSD storage to PS5 titles. Something else to consider if you still have a lot of PS4 games you want to play as well.

$931 with 2 controllers is a good deal if you're needing the 2nd controller.

If you're in Auckland (and have a membership) Costco never seem to have a stock issue but aren't always the cheapest.

Yes and buy locally for warranty reasons. Most retailers are within $50 of each other for hardware and bundles. Pick your favorite retailer.
