I actually got bored of it pretty quickly, found it too easy and then "completed" the main story line.

It doesn;t take much effort to basically become immortal and not much is able to hurt you as the bad guys don't grow as you do.  Added to it if you pick up a companion who mows down anything even remotely hostile before you even realise someone is near .. fired that guy pretty quick as it made the game duller.

I had high hopes for this game as well :-(

I even took the perk that shows all the map locations .. and cleaned up pretty much all of them.

Now a massivly multiplayer Fallout would be good!

Heck, any companions I've picked up just run out and get shot and die.

After i finished the main story line i started again and stayed as far away from the story as possible

Actually talking of which i'm about to start my own little quest in Fallout 3... i'm going to download a bunch of mods for fallout that make the game harder (eg lower maximum weight) set the game as difficulty to very hard and make some personal rules for myself (eg i must have 3 meals a day etc) and on the whole try to survive

well then buy it for pc and join me in my crazy venture see how far you get... so far i've managed to limit my maximum bulk... i carry only 2 weapons and limit my ammunition i carry 5 food items 3 for meals and 2 for snacks, i must drink water regularily (purified if possible) if i do get the megaton house i won't use the butler for my water because that is too easy and takes away the thrill of scavanging to make ends meat. as soon as i have got everything set up (mods etc) i may make another post so people can track my progress... and hopefully i can convince some people that this is the way to go for people who have finished the story and want to do something different

hey i was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me find some mods for fallout to help me get into my survival quest... so far i've got one to reduce the total amount of weight i can carry.

i'd like a mod to make the nights darker and a mod to enhance the realism of combat, maybe even make the game real time (in the sence of if one hour passes realworld one hour passes game time) or at least half real time. as of at the moment i think its about 10 minutes per hour in game. any other suggestions for mods are welcome
