Hi team, brought a monitor today I walked out with the wrong one from PB tech.

i walked out with the C27G2Z2 not the X version , which one is better for gaming ?, should I keep the Z version or swap for the X?. Graphic card is a RTX 4060 and amd 7600x CPU

I'd personally go the higher resolution one. Its still 180Hz so plenty! Checking the specs reported on PBTech it also has a wider colour gamut

The Z2 is probably the better gaming monitor, and your current hardware will find it much easier to drive games on it a decent framerate as it's 1080P. The X is possibly the better general purpose monitor and would still be good for gaming, the 1440P resolution will make everything sharper and be better for non gaming uses. But the increase in resolution will push your computer harder and probably result in lower framerates if you run it at native res.

Every single game listed uses some form of upscaling, be it TAAU or DLSS there is no reason not to go for the cq27g2x (the 1440p one). Upscaling gets worse the lower your target resolution so better to have the better screen over an extra 60Hz when you’re already at 180Hz.

OP also has a 4060 and can leverage DLSS3 FG.

Ended up swapping for the X man it was crazy in Petone a lot like Black Friday . They would have made their money today . Thanks for all the support
