Prices have already changed for new subscriptions.
Existing subscriptions change from 12th September.

Ultimate to increase to $28.95/mth
Core to increase to $109.95/yr
PC to increase to $16.95/mth

Price increase announcement.
PDF of country/price increases.

Might see a few people dropping Xbox altogether.
I know I'm seriously re-evaluating it.

I use my gamepass once or twice a month and I've considered cancelling it a number of times.  The price increase has been enough of a nudge for me to actually do it.

Thankfully I've got another 2 years to run before I need to renew. You can stack up to 3 years worth and lock in the cheaper price.

I just changed it to PC only as I play more on the PC now anyway.

How do you do that?

 Not ideal.

I also play like once or twice a month and my son stays with me every second weekend and sometimes plays also.

But for those prices I’ve cancelled.

Guess it would be worth it if you played everyday but I don’t have the time for that sadly.

I'm in the same boat. I'm going to be better off selling my Xbox next year when my gamepass sub runs out and buying on steam.

At least then I can play almost everything on the steamdeck

They removed the Console plan at the same time. However, if you can find a gift card version you can still sign up. It’s about the same price as Gold but with no multiplayer. Very good value if you just want the games.
