Came across this interesting word game Bracket City - The Atlantic 

 

This has like nested clues. You start by solving just the highlighted ones and eventually solve all the hints. What you get at the end is an event that happened on that day.

I've got 10 clues so far and now I'm at a roadblock. Only one clue I can answer at the moment, and I've tried every word I can think of!

 

Edit: Eek, it tracks all your guesses! But I'm happy to have solved it, with just one hint (from someone at work: I shared it around). Next time I'll be more cautious, now that I know it's all counted.

Enjoyed this and showed a couple of people at work with me as well.

 

Took a few hints and gave up on a couple of words as well.

 

4.0 was my score. Now I know what I'm doing I am sure i can impove :)

It even has statistics as to the minimum number of keystrokes needed and the number of keystrokes used to complete the puzzle.
