Awesome, looks like it will be a very faithful remake.

OMG, GTFO!!! :D :D :D

I've loved Monkey Island since we first got out 'Multimedia' Creative Pack with a 1x caddy loading CD drive with an 8-bit Sound Blaster Pro. Monkey Island came with it on CD, and had the BEST audio track on it ever.

Curse of Monkey Island was also awesome. Just a shame Ron Gilbert wasn't involved with it.

Awesome! I still have mine on the CD (along with Animals!, some demo disc, and an MPC ctalog) and loaded into pocketscumm for years.

I still have the Caddy type CDROM, the original soundcard and they still work too.

Available for the Xbox 360 and the iPhone. Some say the iPhone is worth more (even though it costs less) because of the portability. I tend to agree, and I'm fighting very hard not to buy it (my App Store allowance is long gone).

Give into your feelings... You know it is your destiny...

I bought the new Tales of Monkey Island as well. Its surprisingly good as well!
I have to say, I was a bit disappointed with Escape from Monkey Island. Things got rather out of hand with the comical reference to todays society with things like a Starbucks etc etc. Didn't have the Piratey feel about it so much.
Tales has a colourful, yet piratey feel about it, and they haven't strayed from the Era its set in.

iPhone version is rubbish (apparently).

You can understand why when you (inexplicably) cannot tap something to select it. You have to drag a pointer along to what you want to select?!!?
