Hi just wondering if anyone knows how to block xbox live on the router
as I would like to have the xbox connected to the network but make XBL unavailable

You'd probably want to Google up a storm to find out what ports it uses, and then add those to your blocked ports list in your router :)

What make and model of router do you have? Most routers will allow you to block access to certain machines either by IP address or mac address (hardware id of the network card in the xbox).
