What do you guys think will be a better first person shooter - Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 or Operation Flashpoint. I'm a big CODMW fan but I'm really looking forward to Operation Flashpoint 2.

It's a Arcade vs Simulator debate, the same as NFS vs GT/Forza. It depends what you want in a game.

After playing the extremely buggy ARMA2, I think I'll go for the MW2!

I like the sound of Flashpoint as it's such a huge environment. Apparently it's around 16 hrs if you were to run from one side of the island to the other. I think it's 12 mins in an attack chopper.

MW2 just got the hell nerf stick.

If anyone missed it, Infinity Ward have said no dedicated servers, no mods, all online play through their propreitary matchmaker system.

People are cancelling pre-orders in droves.

I wont be buy either due to lack of dedicated server support for PC. Shame really. Matchmaking just doesnt work if you live outside US and EU

Welcome to the shafting of PC gamers err I mean the future of gaming.

My one consolation is that none of the console gamers I know pay for games since they got modded 360's :-)

Just put mine on pre-order + the camo headset

The COD5 match making is a good system.  Usually i'm in NZ/AU servers, occasionally US/Mexican,  but never with a high ping.  I've never been accidentally matched up with someone from russia or the UK like L4d :S

If they copy the COD5 system, it'll work fine, if not very well.  I think the Ps3 version works like this:
16 players in a team deathmatch
Combined servers, so 4 of the players are acting as dedicated servers.  If one of those leaves, it turns another person into a server and so on.  It only occasionally fails if someone with a crappy connection gets host

either way, i'm looking damn forward to it :)
