my son played it and he did enjoy it but now he's found Guildwars so he hasn't played it for a year or so . from watching him play i came to 2 conclusions.

1. there are an awful lot of people that play it and

2. Most of them are idiots and are just there to annoy people

Runescape is like an introduction, you play it then learn more about MMORPG's after that you can play a decent one, Runescape in not a good long term game in my opinion, is good for kids or people not that into MMORPG's

Runescape is basically the Warcraft game you play when you're not playing Warcraft. :D

"I regret to say that we of the F.B.I. are powerless to act in cases of oral-genital intimacy, unless it has in some way obstructed interstate commerce." — J. Edgar Hoover

"Create a society that values material things above all else. Strip it of industry. Raise taxes for the poor and reduce them for the rich and for corporations. Prop up failed financial institutions with public money. Ask for more tax, while vastly reducing public services. Put adverts everywhere, regardless of people's ability to afford the things they advertise. Allow the cost of food and housing to eclipse people's ability to pay for them. Light blue touch paper." — Andrew Maxwell

Modern mmorpg's (Warcraft, GuildWars, Aion etc) learnt a lot from the pioneers like Runescape and EQ1, UO.... they are much more polished games with way more content, better graphics etc.

Of course they are all way too addictive and should be avoided like the plague!

Been getting into Dungeons and Dragons Online a bit lately. Its free, but with the ability to pay for certain features, such as more than 2 character slots.
