well i mean the actual ideas behind runescape are ok its the fact that it is delivered int eh lest effecive way possable that screws it up i mean id rather play a text based game than practiaclly take turns at hitting my opponent etc. if they relesed a ture version even if it just looked the same but with a client id be prity k with it

my son played it and he did enjoy it but now he's found Guildwars so he hasn't played it for a year or so . from watching him play i came to 2 conclusions.

1. there are an awful lot of people that play it and

2. Most of them are idiots and are just there to annoy people

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Runescape is like an introduction, you play it then learn more about MMORPG's after that you can play a decent one, Runescape in not a good long term game in my opinion, is good for kids or people not that into MMORPG's

Runescape is basically the Warcraft game you play when you're not playing Warcraft. :D

Modern mmorpg's (Warcraft, GuildWars, Aion etc) learnt a lot from the pioneers like Runescape and EQ1, UO.... they are much more polished games with way more content, better graphics etc.

Of course they are all way too addictive and should be avoided like the plague!

Been getting into Dungeons and Dragons Online a bit lately. Its free, but with the ability to pay for certain features, such as more than 2 character slots.
