There is no reason why IW can't support both match making and dedicated servers (this is what left 4 dead does). Not having NZ and AU ISP's run servers that I can get great low latency on is a serious drawback imo, I pre ordered Left 4 Dead 2 instead.

doesnt seem so bad actually.

most pcs should be able to play this, albeit at low quality.
I would be interested to know what the recommended specs are.

yeah the dedicated server thing has pissed off so many people, see the signing of the petition is over 100,000 now

Oh well, I'm giving up on the PC based gaming for a bit as COD5 on PS3 was better in the long run for me. I'll eventually get the PC version.

COD4 ran nicely on my old 8800GT @ 1920x1080 all settings maxxed
so I reckon MW2 should run nicely on a 4870 or greater :) @ that res

Oh and hope there is keyboard/mouse support on the PS3, that would be good :) for old times sake, otherwise i'll just get into using it with the gamepad if there's not.

Plus I can relax on the couch with some snacks, a few beers and a nice screen to watch it on

Agreed...somewhat.

It would be ridiculously unbalanced for those who do not have a keyboard/mouse. A joy pad is not in the same league imo in terms of accuracy.

Indeed :) I'm only faster than a keyboard/mouse player when I've had 3 coffees in a row, then I'm twitching the gamepad every way possible

My brothers managed to secure the prestige edition through pre-order :( damn him, I haven't even secured my copy of the standard version yet

A gamepad joystick still has a limitation of speed though. With a mouse, you can flick round 180 in an instant, but with a joypad, it still takes time to flick round. It reaches a maximum velocity!
