Does anyone else have problems connecting at times? Last night for around an hour. And right now mine seems to sit on "fetching playlists & updating rank and unlocks"

Im not sure if its a Telecom big time issue. Or if its more widespread.

Anyone else having issues on and off?

I was having issues on it, but only on "fetching playlists"

It ended up being my Asus modem :( I've had to switch to my old netgear, but with the netgear it's about 10 seconds and in, with the Asus 30+ minutes and still nothing

\Was it only an hour last night? probably the server issues with the PS3, apparently it's gettnig overloaded, there's at least 1.5 million users, judging by others ranks on my multiplayer list. They still ironing out the issues, I had a good 7 hours of gaming today though

I have moved across the ditch.  Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

I believe your on the right track about the modem/router. My menu's in the multiplayer screen were freezing a lot last night and this morning too. I unplugged the ethernet cable and plugged it back in again and its working as it should now! Maybe the connection between my router and the PS3 just need a reset every now and then.

Update - Still having problems fetching playlists Grrrrr. Think I'll have to look at another ISP. Telecoms other plans dont offer enough data allowance for my usage.
