Would a ps3 40gb look worse if it was on a small tv that goes in your room or not.

Yes. I've put my PS3 on our old 29" and it looks OK but not as good as on the big TV.

Worse than what ?

42" HD tv vs 32" HD tv, in theory no difference - if you mean going from a HD / Ready TV to a normal little CRT then yup, youd notice the difference, but not in a horrible way :)

Its like watching Star Trek at movies, then going home and watching it on a TV at home.....
