The current price for kiwis is US$69.99. The Squad Pack is US$209.97 (US$52.50 each), which makes it NZ$74.50 each.

Better yet, if any of you reside in the US, the Squad Pack only costs US$150 (US$37.50 each). We can send some money your way, and you can gift us the keys.

Regionalised pricing for digital goods is so lame.

Anyway I believe if you want to get US pricing all you need to do is use a US proxy create a new steam account with a US billing address, buy the game and gift it to your normal account.

I consider it "digital parallel importing" to get around retarded regionalisation pricing policy.

Alternatively don't buy games from publishers that use this kind of pricing.  I believe Valve games eg:  Left 4 Dead 2 have a universal price with no regional variation normally.

Regional pricing is stupid Yell

That sounds like a good idea. The only thing holding me back is the idea that my account might get suspended. A while back the Orange Box used to cost varying amounts depending on region. A lot of people decided to do what you suggested, and bought the pack for up to half price in some cases. Then Valve caught on and start deactivating the game on the gifted accounts - even deactivating accounts in some instances.

Thanks for the interest, Moose. I just bit the bullet and paid the full amount. I think it would've been a struggle to find another couple Kiwis to go in with us. I'll let you know if I like it!

My data cap isn't looking so good either. It's a 5.8 GB download.
