i cant figure it out the problem

Asus mobo with overclocking headroom
Two SCSI 15000rpm HDs and one iDE 7200rpm

1./ What ISP are you with
2./ Are you connecting to an NZ server or international server
3./ What is your ping time like out of game
3.1./ Click START, RUN & type cmd, then ping google.com & ping trademe.co.nz what are the ping times?

The above will provide more info to see if it's game related or your internet or hosts you connecting to

My ISP is Thinair LTD im in the plan full speed so speed is from 10M and up in both up stream and down steam.

They have a speed test and ping test from www.speedtest.net at the thinair website and everything is fast as, i watch videos on you tube without waiting or lagg and no longer use the tv because i just watch tv on the pc.

I plug in cable directly to the main modem same problem
so back to the router and yes i'm connected via cable not wireless.

Again, what are your ping times like out of the game...

This is what mine looks like

If the latency is only happening in game then I'd suggest look at your drivers or the game its self.

What are the ping times to the router? They should hopefully be very quick, but you may want to ping for maybe 10-20 times and build up an average and check for any outliers. I have a perl script somewhere that will do it...That will atleast narrow the problem down to something internal on your side, or something external on the internet side.

A tracert to the gaming servers address would be one of the best ways to identify the problem.

Start Menu > Run > cmd > tracert 203.97.27.199

* Note the above ip address is a on3 network/telstraclear CS 1.6 server

Just to clarify, are you using the Thinair DSL or wireless service? 10 Mb/s in both directions sounds like wireless, which has a higher latency than DSL.

Yes thinair.net
MetroNET Wireless

Benefits of Wireless Broadband

  • High speed. Up to 10Mbps!

  • Always on; there is no need to wait for your broadband to "dialup"

  • Won't engage your phone line.

  • Low latency. Lower lag loading webpages

  • Higher uptime than conventional ADSL

  • Lower contention ratio than ADSL Broadband

  • Connection sharing with the right broadband router.

  • Share your broadband connection with a wireless router.

  • All plans comes with one free static public IP address.

    it saids Low latency.
What's the difference between wireless broadband and conventional broadband?

Wireless broadband from ThinAir Communications delivers a greater broadband experience because it doesn't need to use phone lines. It's not affected by factors such as the distance from the local exchange. Realtime applications such as Digital Phone (known as Voice over IP or VoIP), the exceptionally low latency (delay in transmission of data) of wireless makes all the difference compared to conventional ADSL. In direct contrast, ADSL operates over existing copper phone lines. If you don't live within a certain distance of the telephone exchange or if the ageing copper lines are in poor condition, the efficiency of ADSL will be drastically affected and the range of services that can be offered will be limited.

    thanks

    Andy

Wireless inherently has higher latency and more jitter (variation in consistency of latency) than ADSL

For example:

ADSL (interleaving off) is around 10-50ms to local servers
Wireless will typically be 50-200ms to local servers in my experience

However what you're describing sounds a lot worse, so I would run that tracert command I mentioned earlier to the Telstraclear/ON3 CS 1.6 server so we can see the router and latency for each hop is like.
