Hey there

I'm swapping my 360 for a PS3 soon and I'm wondering if there is a way for me to get my save-games and downloaded content off my 360 and onto an external hard drive.  I have quite a few saves that I want to keep as they make a difference to the sequels of the games I play, and I have downloaded a lot of stuff off the Xbox Live Marketplace that I don't want to have to re-download.  This is because I will be getting another 360 in a few months and I want to transfer my stuff back on to it.

Is this possible?  I know the 360 has recently introduced external storage as part of a software update but is this applicable to what I want to to?

Any help appreciated.

G.

You'll need to connect the external HDD to your xbox360. It will then allow you to partition a part of it (up to a maximum of 16GB).
Once that has been done, you can copy any content from the xbox360 HDD onto the external drive, but the partition won't be readable on a PC anymore, so you won't be able to copy off from Xbox360 to PC.

Just be aware that when you get the new Xbox360 that there may be licensing issues, you will prob see that arcade games have become trial versions.
You can get a licensing tool from the Xbox.com website (sorry don't have a link) which will just download a small part of the original content to verify.
