Hey there

I'm swapping my 360 for a PS3 soon and I'm wondering if there is a way for me to get my save-games and downloaded content off my 360 and onto an external hard drive.  I have quite a few saves that I want to keep as they make a difference to the sequels of the games I play, and I have downloaded a lot of stuff off the Xbox Live Marketplace that I don't want to have to re-download.  This is because I will be getting another 360 in a few months and I want to transfer my stuff back on to it.

Is this possible?  I know the 360 has recently introduced external storage as part of a software update but is this applicable to what I want to to?
