Well, finally got a PS3 - $626 from EBGames - 120gb with Uncharted 2 and Red Dead Redemption - was a mission to find a store with stock :)

Anyway, anyone wants to add me, Im on the PSN as "DemiseNZ"

Is it worth the layout? I want to get one "as a blue ray player" for our new TV and they look quite nice.
Red Dead Redemption looks cool too, so I'd pick that up.

BTW, Superfrog was one of my favorite games roughly seventeen years ago.

good deal indeed.

Dont appear to have noticeably come down in price since i got Uncharted 2 and COD4 for around same price with a 120GB system.

Uncharted 2 is a spectacular game. I have played through a few times.

RDR is next on shopping list.

Well it was amusing tracking one down... if you read the fine print for the deal it actually states RDR OR Uncharted 2 and 1 platinum game, not RDR and UC2.

But some stores dont appear to have read the fine print and assumed it was the 2 games on the posters....

So when I called a branch who actually had stock in (after being told by my local store that EVERY retailer in the country had sold out of 120gb PS3's, yes, EVERY retailer, not just EB) I asked about the deal and they said both those games, so got them to hold it for me. Was second to last console they had in store.

Manukau had one console in stock on Saturday, and I asked if they could hold it until Sunday morning and they refused even though I was prepared to give them the CC number right there and then to confirm the sale.... so they lost the sale.

Running it on a 42" Panasonic plasma (HD ready) and looks nice so far, havent tried a Blu Ray yet but pretty sure itll look good :) Bang for buck I reckon PS3's are great - games, music, movies for approx $570 vs games only on Wii for $400 ? Xbox 360 isnt bad either but Ive been a PS fan since they first came out....

If you don't have it on steam already Gav, then Alien Breed is coming out to PSN soon as well :D (Super Stardust HD has been up for ages too ;))

Bit short, but fun.

Yeah I saw AB was being released on Steam, just sold my PC though, so will have to wait for the PSN release ;)

Score, getting both games!

Uncharted 2 is the best game I've played. Recently started RDR and it is pretty awesome so far. Multiplayer co-op is too cool too.

I also have a 42" hd ready Panasonic. Once you start watching Blu-ray you won't want to go back.

Will add you to my friends, I need more :)

HTPC: 3G P4, 2GB RAM, Nvidia 8500GT, HVR 2200 (for FreeviewHD), 2x Hauppauge PVR-150 (1 for analog TV + 1 for AV input), Windows 7

Bit short, but fun.

Super Star Dust with all add ons is $5.90 until 7th July PSN store. If try to buy from the demo download it only comes up over $15 price tag, without addons.

Need to go to store, then big picture to right click on it when super stardust shows up. The big picture advertising it will also show over $15, but after clicking on it will see super Stardust HD complete (Game Pack) $5.90. I just brought that and it was the full game, plus what looks like all add ons.
