Hi there I made a post a few weeks ago about the HD 3870 that was dead and currently using after baking it. Now I just got a faulty 8800GT i payed $15 on trademe and I may be able to bake this weekend. Have anyone of you guys here cooked one of this 8800GT cards what the outcome was good or bad.

The trick does have a good change of fixing issues where there are micro fractures in the solder.

Won't do anything if that isn't the problem.

the guy that sold the 8800GT to me said the problem with card was that after playing game for 30 minutes the pc freeze or shutdown. so i dont know the cause.

Sounds more like an overheating or capacitor issue, but give it a try anyway and film it!!

Vinnieg you may be right as the HD 3870 card was artifacting but this one is not so i will firstly tonight take cooler and clean it well with Isopropyl alcohol and will put some new thermal compound and test it in game is still playing up barbecue time....ahaha
