Make sure you have the latest PS3 system update and it should be there. At least, it appeared for me after an update.

I know TVNZ recently announced that they would be updating the PS3 - TVNZ Ondemand app to support the new 1500kbps stream.

Source:
http://www.techday.co.nz/gameconsole/news/ps3-tvnz-ondemand-app-update-soon/18757/2/

This may have something to do with it, although I still have the TVNZ Ondemand icon on my PS3, so I can't explain why you don't have it.
Weird.
Actually, one of the things they suggest on the TVNZ Ondemand PS3 FAQ site is to make sure your timezone settings are correct (i.e. to GMT +12:00 Wellington)

Here is the link to the TVNZ Ondemand PS3 FAQ site:
http://tvnz.co.nz/video/tvnz-ondemand-faqs-ps3-gui-3449259

Slightly OT:
The PS3 TVNZ Ondemand app seems to be very sluggish, and most of the video is very choppy, and the audio out of sync. I would have expected more, but maybe the power of the PS3 can't even handle the demands of flash (and no, I'm not an apple iFanboi ;) )

Anyway, hope that helps even a little bit.

I've noticed that too,  but only when the video is minimised, if i maximise it to full screen it plays smoothly. Not sure why and i've only tried it on the Chrome browser as well.

Hey,

Thanks for that, i turned the PS3 off again and went out for a couple of hours, restart and got the icon.  The auto restart after download must not have worked for some reason.

Ah well all fixed now.

I tried it on the PS3, the quality was really quite bad even on high quality. Plus the interface really sucks, but then again the whole PS3 interface looks like it was designed by a 3 year old.

...but that means my other half can actually find her way around it ;)

My PS3 still shows iPlayer under the TV section from when I was in the UK. The other half has added an account and that popped up the TVNZ icon on her login.

Any idea how I get my account to refresh from iPlayer to TVNZ?

When she generated her login it asked for a region but I can't find where to change it to a different one?
