I got a PS3 mostly to play content from my PC on the LCD TV, but my friends and I play Singstar sometimes too. I got the move pack, so I have one move controller.

Are there any other good social games for the PS3? Nothing too hard, just something fun for a bunch of people having a few drinks.

While i'm asking, are there any decent move games out? How about mini games, the sort of thing you could play on an iPhone but for a big screen. The only games I play these days are on the iPod Touch, things like Trainyard EX, Geodefense and fieldrunners.

The Buzz games are a lot of fun in groups (Quiz TV, Quiz World), and once you have the buzzers, you can download Buzz Junior titles from PSN (good for the kids, if you have them).

We also really enjoy Guitar Hero and Rock Band games. Rock Band 3 is the current pick of the crop it would seem. The most important thing is the more instruments the merrier. I have the Rock Band instrument bundle, and a Guitar Hero World Tour guitar, so that gives us two guitars, drums, and a mic (well, actually 3 mics as we have Singstar ones too), which all work across the Rock Band and Guitar Hero games we have (GH World Tour, GH Metallica, Rock Band, Rock Band 2). They should also work with Rock Band 3, although I don't have that one yet.

The sports games looks like it's worth a look, but I think i'd need more than one move controller right? I wasn't that impressed that I thought they were worth $100 each.

The buzz/quiz thingies on the XBox seem pretty fun, I might have a look for some of them.

A friend just got Rock Band so i'll give it a go some time and see if that's a goer too :)

Indeed. And another point that may need mentioning is that you're not constrained by the tracks shipped with the game. Both Guitar Hero and Rock Band allow you to purchase tracks from a large and diverse range of artists. Rock Band seems to have the edge in this area, IMHO.

Another point to add to that is that the new keyboards and guitars with fret boards are for Rock Band, so probably a better investment that Guitar Hero.
