My family gave me a Move setup for my PS3 this Christmas (two Move wands, Move Gun & 4 games), so I'm looking for recommendations for some more good Move games to check out (cheap PSN titles strongly encouraged ;-)). I have Sports Champions, The Shoot, Start The Party, and Sly Trilogy (not a Move game as such, but it says on the tin that there are Move mini-games).

I don't currently have the Move navigation controller, but my wife concedes that this is only because she didn't know of its existence (she wanted me to be fully kitted out, so felt bad that she hadn't purchased it). I do intend to get one later on, so don't let its requirement be a barrier to suggesting titles. :-)

I generally gravitate towards more hardcore titles (so eagerly await Killzone 3 next year), but casual games are also welcome, as my wife and kids prefer those.

I'd have to say Sport Champions would probably be the best Move game out so far, but other than that, the rest seem pretty average.

Hopefully Sony will bring better Move games for 2011.

Yeah, I'm loving Sports Champions. I also quite enjoyed The Shoot, although can't see it having a lot of replayability now that I've completed it. I got the official Playstation Gun attachment and thought Time Crisis may have been fun with it, but apparently the Move button is used for the reload functionality, and that means keeping one hand on the top of the gun (which doesn't seem overly conducive to lengthy gaming sessions).

I'm still keen to get Heavy Rain Move Edition (after picking up the Move Navigation controller for $41 from DSE recently), and think Killzone 3 should be fun with the Move too (and would be a low risk proposition, as it can always be played conventionally with the DS3).

Not meaning to rub salt into your wounds but... Sports Champion got a good workout during our NYE celebrations, with the Gladiator duel being the game of choice.

I tried out racket sports in a DSE. Table tennis was excellent, really surprised me how responsive the controller was!

We have Start the Party for the kids, and Zumba, EA Sports Active 2.0 for the wife (she loves the Zumba).  I downloaded the demo for Time Crisis  and you do have to use the Move buttonfor the reload functionality.  I liked the game, but hated the controller without the gun attachment.  I purchased the full game yesterday, on  the back of the case it shows its compatible with a Move Navigation/ std 6-axis controller.  Didn't get a chance to play last night, but will attempt tonight and advise.

Cheers, Stevo

Yeah, my kids love that one too. My wife was a little mortified though, as her intent was to give me the ultimate Move setup for Christmas, with the emphasis on the 'me'. So when she found out it was a child focused title, she felt she had missed the mark (quite the opposite; I LOVE games that encourage us all to play together).

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this one. Like I said, I did enjoy my playthrough of The Shoot, even though the games premise was pretty lame.

Since we've having *some* weather issues here in Brisbane I've only just got the chance to have a real play with Time Crisis.  You can play in arcade mode with move controller by itself.  Quite fun, but I really think you need a gun controller to point & shoot.  Your hand gets quite sore pointing & pulling trigger.

The real fun was in the story mode.  You also require the use of the Move navigation controller or 6-axis controller (you just use LH-side of the controller).  Pretty cool.  The move controller is used for point & shoot, and direction of FPS.  The navigation contrlloer is used for weapons select and movement: forward back & straif.  I have a lot of fun, but feel the experience would be better acheived by utilising a rifle controller (see http://bit.ly/f8wEyk ).  I gonna order one today.  Again holding the move controller to point & shoot gave me a sore hand and when I was using a sniper rifle, you really needed 2 hands to steady your shots.  I love sniping!!!

Lemme know if you want any other info.

I'm really enjoying the PS3 move.  Will look at picking up The Shoot game next week for a play.  Hopefully the gun controllers I ordered a couple weeks banck will arrive from Hong Kong soon.

Cheers, Stevo

Hope you and your family are safe and well over there, Stevo.

Thanks for all the info. I do have the navigation controller, but don't have any games to put it to use with yet. I was considering getting Heavy Rain (<blush> sorry, prolly shouldn't have said that :-)), but perhaps I'll also consider Time Crisis.

My $1 gun controllers arrived from Hong Kong today ~14 days after ordering. Since I can't go into work because of the flooding, I had a couple of plays on Time Crisis. Must say way better. Feels more intuitive and no more sore hand.

I have one of these sub machine guns on the way too with a navigation controller: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0045Y19IO/ref=oss_product so that'll be way cool for Time Crisis in story mode.

Cheers, Stevo
